I live at 6000 feet and have to use a 14-16 on my rogue. With the twin carbs
and the elevation I cant get the RPM necessary to plane.

14 x 16 is good when you have a few on board or are towing something. The
14 x 18 is good for lighter service, fishing alone. Basically, the 14 x 16
"winds up" faster than the 14 x 18, but you need to pay more attention to
the redline.
