I had a fuel pump go bad on my 66 Cadillac several years ago. The diaphram
was leaking and fuel was being pumped into the engine cavity with the oil.
I noticed this when I checked the oil and found the level to be way high and
diluted with gasoline.
Better check your oil before running the boat again.
I think an external electric pump should solve your fuel pump problemo.
