I just had an idea for your PVC guides....how about adding that expanding foam in the spray can to fill the pipe for added strength? Just spray a crapload of it in the pipe and cut off the excess foam that will run out the end with knife. It won't add any real weight, and should firm them up...

It's a distinct probability. We'll see. I did learn the last time I had trouble loading my boat I had the trailer too far down in the water. Great for launching, not so great for loading. Next time I will drop the rear roller only about 6" under the water and try it that way. The boat will likely behave better....but as before...we'll see! ;-)

If it's just hollow PVC, it won't be strong enough. Mine have a welded
steel rod inside. A windy day and a little to much momentum and you'll
break that in two. IMO.

Experimenting using PVC as guides. Hopefully they don't
look too bad! I'll likely paint them later if and whenever I get
around to painting the trailer. In the meantime, I'll be looking for
reflective tape to run up the back sides.
