Given the current state of my drive, I'm going to pass for now. I want to
get through this repair before anything else.

Subject: [OMC-Boats] New Johnson/OMC shift switch discounts
Hi,
I'm interested in how many potential JOHNSON-OMC Boat owners on this list,
specifically those that use the SINGLE-LEVER (non-push-button shift) would
be interested in a group purchase discount?
I'm not in this for personal profit but I think I can negotiate a qty 50
discount, that could save approximately $50 USD per switch.
The units retail for $195.00, plus $25 s/h from the Canadian supplier. The
discount would be $170 vs. $220 or a 23% discount, delivered.
I'm guessing a smaller qty (10-to-20 unit) order would yield about a 13%
discount or roughly $190 vs. $220 delivered.
BTW -- these switches are 3-wire or 5-wire compatible. If you Johnson boat
was built prior to 1969 and uses the 3-wire setup you can easily add the
NEUTRAL-SAFETY interlock feature, with the wiring diagram/instructions that
come with the new switch.
It's only a matter of time (when not if) before the original OEM OMC switch
fails.
Let me know --
Lee Shuster
