Check around the holes where the anchor bolts for the seats pass through. The rear bolts are the most vulnerable (1 front and 1 rear for the lounge seats) . There's a wood nut (the kind with tangs that stick into the wood to hold it in place and prevent it from spinning in a blind install) on the opposite side of the plywod that the bolt screws into -- if you try to remove the bolt, be careful not to knock the nut through or you won't be able to reinstall it! If it is rusted in place, be careful not to rip it out of the floor -- try some penetrating lube to free it first. Its tight working under the seats , but you can also try poking around as BreAnne says. I replaced my vinyl floor a few years ago; 3 bolts were still good, but the 4th was locally rotted / rusted and pulled out. The beauty of the foam filler is I was able to scoop out a roughly 2" cup and fill it with epoxy which I then drilled and sunk a lag into. So far its holding up fine.

That depends on whether there is holes in the glass or not or if any water was trapped under the floor. You can take an Awl or punch and penetrate it to see how soft it is in spots. The holes can be filled with 2 part epoxy or some glass resin if the floor is not rotted.

Nice. So the wood is glassed. Then is it safe to assume floor rot
isn't a huge concern with these boats?
