Lets talk about hydrofoils. My boat has one, but I haven't run it yet.
And I never tried one on my previous boats. Some guys swear by them.
Some guys swear they are the devil. I googled it and found all sorts
of discussion on the subject. But I wanted to talk about it here since
the old Johnson hulls are so unique, I figure just because a guy with
a deep V hates them doesn't mean they're terrible on a sea-foil. The
guy I bought my boat from says that it makes it steer much harder, but
get on plane quicker. To me, that would mean better fuel consumption
at the expense of handling. But what other pros and cons might I
notice?
