I run one on my '67 Reveler. Really haven't noticed that big of a difference in steering, Definitely makes it plane out better, and completely eliminated porpoising. Personally I have ran them on all my boats.

I just put a SE300 hydrofoil on my Deluxe. Harder steering, seems to feel like it's dragging, planes a tad better. not sure about fuel. gonna keep it on and try and get used to it. i think others on here have the same one and like it.
