Marine wire is different than automotive wire. It has to be multistrand and
has other specs. including insulation that is resistant to salt water, heat
and wear. The terminals must be tight crimp and solder will not do due to
corrosion and vibration. Look online at Marine Primary Wire and you can read
all about it. You will need a wiring diagram for your project to know the
proper gauge and color wire to use. I plan to do some wiring of my engine
compartment this winter so I have been looking into wiring for several
months now. I am ready to buy wire now but am having trouble finding a
source that sells wire in lengths less than 100ft. spools. It you come up
