Thats great to hear, the electric shift models are easier to deal with
than the shift shaft type. The only thing that I can think of is,
before you pull the shift wires down and out. Tie a string to the end
of the wires. After you pull the wire out untie and leave the string.
After you have the new pump installed and you are ready to put the
lower unit back on. Retie the string to the wire and you will be able
to pull the wire back up easily. Dave H
