Greetings to all and hoping all had a wonderful holiday and are prospering in their restoration projects - spring is coming - better get ready. A question - my brother loaned me his boat as he is going away on his job and he forgot to give me the key. It is a 17 ft alum. boat with a 1996 40 hp Evinrude with side console and key ignition. I took off the control and removed the ignition switch to take and get a key made hopefully. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the key looks like - is it that double sided stubby thing like on my 69 Rogue? or did they make changes since then. The switch has a number 160 stamped into the plastic. Also the motor lift does not lift up the motor. It whines like it is going to work - is that a pump of some kind and what typically goes wrong with them - any ideas? I have been inactive with the Rogue as of late due to work and other projects - somewhere I have lost focus on important things! Best wishes to all. Tom Klauber
