Ihave a 64 johnson deluxe. I was out after dark and ran aground. the
prop got some damage, but I have a new one i was going to use it
anyway, but since then I havent had reverse gear.the engine just revs
up. I am wondering if I stripped the gear or could it be some other
issue, and if there is a place to get a repacement gear. parts are
hard to find .I would like to update the outdrive is possible but
don't know if that is possible. any info would be appreciated..thanks
