Yes I was -- re the fuel tank. I didn't realize the hulls were different. Re convenience --- obviously, none of use would have these boats if convenience was high on our priority lists. With me, I do love the classic look. But, my man reason is sentimental. The boat has been in my family for 40 years now. I grew up in it on Elk Lake, Elk Rapids, MI. Take away that, with my kiddos, it sure would be nice to have a boat with a tilting motor for shallow water, easy ingress from the water, better storage, etc....................Sentimentality wins, though. Thanks for your input. You always have the behind the scenes info.

The '70 made at least one significant improvement (in my opinion) from my '69 ---- the three piece windshield. My bi-folding windshield is a pain when it's closed. You can just open the center walkway, right? Your engine cover doesn't go the full width of the boat either, does it? Also, I'm wondering if the fuel tank in the bow was a ride improvement or just a way of creating more interior space in the back?
