The stuff I found was labeled as Premium Marine Geacase Oil. Suitable
for type C applications. It came in 10 oz tubes and was carried by a
local hardware store with a boating section. I think I'm more
comfortable with the OMC (or acceptable substitute) stuff for the
lower gear case where the solenoids are. But I don't figure the
demands of the upper gear case and tilt motor gear case are as
demanding since they don't contain the electric shift stuff. So in
those, I think I'm comfortable with the off brand stuff. I just hope
my manual gets here soon so I can quit bugging you guys with all my
questions.
