scott - also - not to rain on the parade here, but my "spare" shifter
housing, and inside guts had the same part numbers as the one that
came with my boat. Yet it had the OUTBOARD version of the 3-wire
switch in it. During my switch rebuilding adventures from a couple
weeks ago I never could find any markings on either switch I had.
Maybe I missed the numbers somewhere but i don't think so. So
anyway, housings can be same numbers, but switches can be totally
different (yet look identical). If your getting a "brand new"
shifter somehow, then maybe your fine. But try and electrically test
it first to make sure it doesn't have the outboard version of the
switch inside.
