Justin,

Look this over, hope it helps

http://www.oldcarmanualproject.com/manuals/Carbs/Rochester/2-Jet/1964Manual/index.htm

Rebuild kit for the carb should come with instructions and base line set up, will look at mine and if I can get it scanned in tonight will shoot it over.

Cheers,
B.C.

Well, the patient is laying open on the operating table and I think I
found the problem. Or, problems, rather. First, the float is full of
gas. I found 3 tiny cracks in it. I have a hard time believing it
happened all at once, so I figure it's been slowly filling with gas a
bit at a time. Also found the rubber gasket on the accelerator pump
was ripped. So that probably wasn't helping either. I had to order a
rebuild kit, it will be here tomorrow. The float was no longer
available from the parts store. So I'm going to solder the cracks
closed, I've had success with it in the past.

I need a HUGE favor from someone. My service manual still isn't here.
I'm going to email the guy I bought it from, but thats a different
story. Anyhow, there are a few screws and adjustments on this carb
that I'm unfamiliar with. One being the adjustment screw on the port
side, towards the rear. The linage for the choke seems to bump against
it. If that makes sense. Anyhow, would anyone be willing to scan me
the pages that pertain to carb set-up and default setting from the
manual? I'd be happy to pay a few bucks for your trouble. Normally,
I'd just figure it out myself, but we have plans to use the boat
Saturday and that hinges on me being able to get it back together
tomorrow afternoon. Anyone want to take pity on me and help me with my
Johnson? (That doesn't sound good...)

PS, my auto mechanic friend might have a service manual for the 67
Buicks. Would the carb section from the car manual be of any help?
