Thanks for your tips, which are quite sensible. Unfortunately, my boat is located on a small island in the southern part of Denmark. I am about to renovate it so it is currently on land.
Getting a local canvas shop to take the ferry over to the island in order to measure the both will cost at least a day's wages - I do not know if you are aware of it, but we have some fantastic high wages in Denmark (and equally high taxes).
My only option is to obtain either the original drawings or buy an old "throw away" cover that I can use as a model. Of course I will pay for shipping and a reasonable amount of money for the cover.
I have tried to send an email to Nielsen Canvas ( http://www.ncflags.com/) several times, but they seem to be closed and the web site is now under redesign. Is there anyone who has additional information about the company or the original drawings ?
