Get a Seloc Manual for that year stern drive - the 1964 - 1981 edition
should do. You will need to develop some mechanical skills or have a lot of
money to hire a mechanic. The tops are no longer made. They are like
convertible tops that are quite snazzy - many have gone with the bimini tops
and there are pros and cons to each type. You could go to an auto
upholsterer that might make you one. You need cover from the sun. The gas
tank problem could be any thing. Look for a loose ground wire. Make sure
the tank is grounded (not sure about the grounding needs for a plastic
tank).
The mechanism is not real complicated. The seloc manual will have an
electrical diagram that covers the engine wiring. The pink wire is gas
gauge. Clymer manuals have the wiring diagrams too. Replacement seats can be
gotten and bolted in. Good luck. TK
