A quick test to determine if it is an ignition problem or fuel problem is to
manually squirt a little fuel directly into the carborator, and try and
start it. If it starts then quits right away, it's not an ignition problem,
it's a fuel problem. You said it would not start back up after sitting for
5 minutes. It sounds like the fuel is draining out of the fuel line and
back into the gas tank. Check for a week fuel pump, or damaged check valve
(in the pump) that keeps fuel from draiining back to tank. I'm not sure
what type fuel pump it uses so that's the most I can tell you.
