1968 Sportsman 120 restoration project 10/22/2024

I sold this as a new boat from Billy Disch Marine, took it back on trade in 1978 [in like new cond.] and kept it. Boat was in my use until 2000. It has been sitting and deteriorating [I intended on restoration myself] I have not been able to. It is a complete package Evinrude Boat and Trailer. It will be very cheap to someone who wants to restore it or use it for restoration of their boat.

1967 Sportsman 120, water ready, includes trailer (SOLD)

Acquired boat in late 2016 as a non-runner that had sat in a garage for approximately 8 years since owner's death. Family said he was 2nd owner from approximately 1982. Cosmetically boat was in good shape but there was a crack in the forward keel. Foam and floor were waterlogged even after 8 years. Boat cranked but fuel system was totally plugged.

Removed floor to find that 1967 boats had wood stringers, not fiberglass like earlier years. 465 lbs of wet foam and aft end of stringers were removed. New aft stringer sections, included building a center stringer that the boat never had. New 1/2 marine plywood floor, pour in foam, & carpet. Seats are original.

Engine got a tune-up, new fuel pump, both carbs rebuilt, new water pump, new voltage regulator. I ran the boat in 2017, then did the structural work in 2019/2020 and again have run it in 2020, 2021, 2023 & again a few times so far this spring.

I've added an 11 gallon aft fuel tank to supplement the 16 gallon bow tank and a Lowrance color depth finder.

Trailer got speedee sleeves on the axles, new bearings & seals, new tubes & tires and all new wires & LED lights. Includes spare tire. Electric trailer brakes do not work.
