The boat might have a hook or belly in the hull. This can happen if the
mold was not perfect at time of production. Weight distribution could also
factor in. You can check the hull by drawing a string lengthwise across the
bottom from one end to the other to see if there is any deviation in the
bottom which would cause unusual ride characteristics.
