In complete aggreance to me there is only one to own OMC Johnson/Evinrude. My first one was a '56 35h.p. seahorse. Other that wearable items it was more dependable that any mercury.

Agreed...best thing I ever did four years ago was get my Seloc OMC manual...these drives are NOT hard to maintain and work on. Don't let the ignorant masses tell you OMC is unreliable or fault prone!

I agree. As a new Evinrude owner, I'm was pretty ignorant but having ordered an applicable service and parts manual, whole new vista's have opened up. It makes a whole lot more sense now and is proving to not be that difficult to work on it. Best money spent!!
