I've built one for the back of my '67 reveler 155. Its 64" long, 23" wide, and made out of 1x4's. It weighs 43lbs., including the steel brackets that we fabricated to attach it to the back of the boat. Stained it with oil-based minwax, then went over that with a clear glaze hardener from Johnson's Boatbuilders. Found several companies that were willing to manufacture one for us. The cheapest was $1100. It seems to be working fine, can still run 4000 r.p.m. at 36 m.p.h. while towing a skier. It also reduced a lot of the water spray from the back of the boat. The only other thing we added is a hydro-foil. As soon as we get some pics made, I'll post them.

Thanks for asking that question. I'm considering this too and have only just begun to browse around but it's low on my priority list at the moment. I'd too would be interested in opinions and sources.
