[OMC-Boats] lookie!

So after crazy electrical weirdness affecting my temp gauge (see
previous posts) and driving me nuts, I decided to do a little bit of
"remodeling". Two weeks later............viola' Im done! No more
risky wiring causing weirdness. Now have new fuse block,
instruments, switches, heat shrink terminals, etc. And a nifty new
console i designed - complete with a subwoofer behind. It was a
pain to do it all (lots of time on back under dash), but at the same
time really fun, and I'm really happy with the way it turned out.
And other than stereo gear, actually probably only about $200 or so
in parts/mat'ls. Used (but late model) speedo and tach off ebay.
Depth and switches are new and were probably the expensive part.
Also rigged up my temp gauge with a separate light and buzzer fed from
a sender that triggers (i hope) when it hits 200 degrees - no more
surprises - i wanted it to practically hit me on the head when (if) it
starts getting hot. This all has actually been on my to do list
since day one of owning the boat. None of my instruments have ever
worked. So it feels GREAT to get it done finally and now have safe
and functioning tach, speedo, fuel gauge, etc. And no more stupid
cracked no longer available anywhere instrument cluster cover!
Tried to stay as vintage looking as possible, but yeah, still not
quite as cool as the original probably looked new. Of course the
boat still doesn't run right, but that's besides the point. As long
as it looks good - that's most important, right? . ;) Actually,
putting final touches on the cowling vent (pix of that soon) then I'm
hitting the river for a test - probably thurs. Seeing a finish line
in the distance!! Jeff D
