I think BC is right. A live well in/beside the engine compartment seems to be counter to keeping the bait "live". Seems like something like a portable live well with some form of mounting bracket aft the drivers seat area would be best for keeping the water in the well while underway.

Just my thoughts on the topic. I plan to do something similar as I reassemble my Sport 14 this spring.
