Re: [OMC-Boats] Windscreen tilt

I completely disagree. The folding windshield on my '67 Reveler is one of
the main reasons I've kept it all these years. I almost never run with it
up -- it gets too dang hot without the added airflow. Opening the vent
along the bottom of the windshield (another great design feature) helps, but
its still not enough. Visibility is much better with it down too. About
the only time I put it up are on cold days or when I get caught in rough
water and don't want to risk taking a wave over the bow (and thus into the
boat). The other awesome feature is the lack of side glass. I've long
coveted a bowrider for the added passenger carrying space up front and ease
of moving around while fishing. But again, I keep coming back to how easy
it is to pull up next to a downed skier, etc. and both see and talk to them
without obstruction while seated. To do that with any current bowrider you
have to stand up to clear the side glass and standing puts you in less
control of the vehicle at a point where you need to be in full control.
These boats are both very high quality (how many other 40-year old boats are
still out there?) and well-thought-out designs.
